As an Analyst (m/f/d) Pricing and Contract Optimisation you are part of the Supply Optimisation function and contribute directly to the operational and commercial performance of MB Energys supply activities in Germany. You manage internal pricing processes support contract optimisation and handle hedging activities for spot sales. By working on system data and reporting projects you help drive transparency efficiency and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Manage pricing models: You manage and continuously enhance internal pricing models for the physical supply of products to MB Energy subsidiaries ensuring transparency and accuracy.
Optimise contracts: You analyse existing supply contracts to identify optimisation opportunities and develop models that fully exploit contractual clauses.
Identify market opportunities: You monitor spot market trends and compare import versus refinery prices together with Supply & Trading to identify buying or selling opportunities.
Execute hedges: You execute hedges for sales activities on behalf of the Supply & Trading team to manage pricing and risk exposure.
Drive digital efficiency: You leverage digital tools and automation solutions to continuously improve pricing and contract-related processes.
Coordinate cross-functionally: You work closely with Inland Dispatch to optimise the distribution of supply volumes based on price and location advantages.
Education: University degree with a strong quantitative focus (e.g. business finance economics engineering).
Professional Experience: Experience in a financial environment; background in project management controlling or strategy.
Data & Systems Expertise: Proficiency in Excel SQL and Python; experience with systems and data projects. Knowledge of Power BI or similar BI tools is an advantage.
Market Knowledge: Understanding of financial and commodity markets; familiarity with European oil markets is beneficial.
Language Skills: Fluency in English and German for effective cross-functional collaboration.
Analytical Mindset: You enjoy working with complex data and approach challenges in a structured fact-based way from analysis to presenting solutions to senior stakeholders.
Proactive Attitude: You take initiative seek out opportunities for improvement and thrive in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.
