What youll do

Position Title:SAP iXp Intern - Portfolio Analyst

Location:Vancouver BC

Expected Start Date: June 2025

Contract Duration: 8 months

Work Hours: 40 hours per week

The Preferred Success team is looking for a Portfolio Analyst to support portfolio management analytics. The Portfolio Analyst is detail-oriented and responsible for overseeing the coordination of monthly and quarterly analytics in Preferred Success. You will have hands-on experience in portfolio analysis reporting and resource management. They are responsible for ensuring analysis is completed consistently across all controlling measures; coordinated with leadership communication schedule; and proactive in any observations and recommendations. This role will work closely with the Preferred Success Delivery Excellence team through accurate reporting and optimizing service delivery staffing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Assist in monthly and quarterly reporting on margins including charge outs and service order completion.
    • Analyze performance metrics to support data-driven decision making and identify trends affecting product margins.
    • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to deliver insights to stakeholders.
  • Resource Management
    • Manage and optimize staffing schedules for service delivery personnel to ensure efficient and effective operations.
    • Collaborate with various teams to understand staffing needs and promptly address any discrepancies.
    • Monitor workforce utilization and provide recommendations for improved efficiency.
  • Data Management and Visualization
    • Collect clean and interpret complex data sets related to overall product performance.
    • Leverage Excel and other data visualization tools to create compelling and accessible dashboards.
    • Present findings to the Product Management Team and contribute to strategic discussions.
  • Cross-Functional Communication
    • Liaise between Product Management and other departments to ensure seamless information flow and service delivery processes.
    • Support team projects and initiatives that may arise within the product management scope.

Education: Analytics Finance or related field of study

Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp apprenticeship associate bachelors masters or JD/PhD program

  • Willing to commit for an 8-monthfull-time internship starting June2025
  • Team player attitude with ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage working relationships with key internal stakeholders and business units
  • Excellent written and oral communication in a variety of formats
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing analytics projects
  • Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in analyzing large volumes of data to extract actionable insights.
  • Ability to interpret quantitative metrics and translate them into meaningful business implications.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel including formulas pivot tables and data visualization techniques.
  • Capability to create complex spreadsheets and reports that streamline data management and reporting processes.
  • Familiarity with dashboard creation and management using tools like SAP Analytics Cloud or similar platforms to visualize data effectively.
  • Technical Acumen - Comfort with learning and using new software or systems related to data management and reporting. Easily adaptable.
