Job Description
Ventia is seeking a proactive Trades Assistant to join our growing team within the Telecommunications Wamarra E&I division. This exciting field-based role offers a permanent full-time position servicing the South Australian regions based out of North Plympton.
As a Trades Assistant you will play a critical role in assisting with the construction of modular shelters and supporting electrical and HVAC systems/aircon support systems including tasks like aluminium framing conduit work vent fixtures and cable management all within the scope of telecommunications infrastructure.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead in the construction of modular shelters.
- Ensure all sites are clean safe and that all works are documented.
- Complete work to the required standards and expectations.
- Carry out minor works related to facilities upkeep and maintenance repairs.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience working as a Trade Assistant ideally in facilities management or telecommunications.
- Competence in cable management and installation of vented/ducted fixtures.
- Experience with power tools and construction equipment.
- Handy person skills with experience in basic home maintenance including fixing door fixtures locks and other minor repairs.
- White Card (or willingness to attain one).
- A valid drivers license.
- Flexibility to travel within Metro & Regional areas with potential overnight stays when required.
