JOB SUMMARY:
Develop critical design thinking and solution-resolving skills while gaining real-world experience in theme park and attraction design production and execution. As a key member of the design team you will engage in the creative design process including spatial and architectural planning working in 2D and 3D and creating sketches studies and models of proposed design solutions. You will learn about materials and fabrication processes the overall theme park design process and working with intellectual property (IP) at a world-class design organization. Collaborate within a team to capture support and advance various design solutions bringing them to life.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works directly with a dynamic experienced creative design team to support the design effort on a new theme park attraction.
- Collaborates directly with the Production Designers Show Set Designers and Creative Leadership on a daily basis as a key member of the creative design team.
- Creates visual studies in sketch and model format.
- Creates and compiles reference and research.
- Organizes compiles and creates design decks capturing current design efforts.
- Participates in collaborative design meetings discussing offering up design solutions and creating design product to capture content
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- In pursuit of an Associate Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
- Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
- A transcript is required upon application.
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- Preferred majors include: Art Design or similar.
- Comfortability producing 2D and 3D artwork through digital and/or hand drawn sketches.
- Experience using digital modeling software such as Revit preferred.
- Familiar with drawing packages and the process.

- This internship will be an in-person experience based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university and must have a graduation date later than April 2026.
- Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
- All of our internships are paid and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
