We are seeking qualified experienced candidates for the part-time position of saxophone and clarinet instructor beginning the 2025-2026 school year. We are looking for an individual that is available Monday-Friday to give in-person instruction. The compensation is highly competitive and based on studio enrollment. Instructor must be available to give lessons both during and after school. Responsibilities:Capability to teach a wide range of ability levels from basic music literacy to college preparatory instruction using Rubank Methods for Clarinet & Saxophone Rose Clarinet Method Paul Deville Method for Saxophone and PMEA District Instrumental Audition repertoireProficiency in and openness to a variety of music genres including but not limited to classical jazz R&B and popRecruit instruct and retain students (4th-12th grades) on saxophone and clarinet annuallyPrepare students for a yearly saxophone/clarinet recital and any other collaborations at GAResponsible for collaborating with ensemble directors to ensure success in performance groupsDemonstrate commitment to departmental engagements including collaborative interaction with performing arts faculty and staffStrong organizational skills to manage scheduling logistics for a large studio (30 students)Collaborate with private lesson coordinator band director and other instructors on curriculum and schedulingCommunicate regularly with families and respond to issues involving private lesson scheduling Ensure that all rules and policies of the private lesson program are followed judiciouslyResponsible for identifying new program needs and possibilities for expansion as they arise Additional ensemble opportunities with stipends may be available depending on schedule and needQualifications:A minimum of two years teaching experience is requiredUndergraduate or graduate degree in music performance or music education is required Mastery of performance on both clarinet and saxophoneExcellent oral and written communication skills along with strong organizational abilities
