Position Overview:
As aQuality Technician you will be a member of the Quality Assurance Team reporting to a QualitySupervisor or Manager.You will contribute to the success of Ball by inspecting in-process or finished products for quality; based on Ball internal specifications and will advise production on results.
Your Key Responsibilities Include:
- Follow all job safety practices and policies including but not limited to: food safety; personal protective equipment; emergency procedures etc.
- Perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on inspection equipment as needed.
- Routinely use measuring tools (such as: calliper gauges micrometres).
- Advise production when inspection results do not meet customer specifications.
- Maintain a safe and clean workspace according to 5S standards.
- Build positive relationships across designated team by effectively collaborating communicating and upholding ethical integrity.
Required Experience and Skills:
- High School Diploma or education equivalent required.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a production/manufacturing role.
- Experience maintaining production or quality control equipment.
- Proficiency with computer applications (such as: Microsoft: Excel Word Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and experience reviewing and understanding graphs and trends.
- Must be able to match colors.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clear and concise communication (verbal and written) in a respectful manner to all levels of personnel.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- 1 years of experience as a Quality Technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with depth gauges dial callipers and/or automated gauges.
Physical Environment & Working Conditions:
- May be subject to all of the following but not limited to:
- Hot/Cold working conditions.
- Loud /Noisy environment.
- Standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.
- Climbing (stairs and other equipment as necessary).
