As an Alternative Investments Analyst within our Alternatives Team you will be responsible for setting and improving our organizational objectives and ensuring their consistent accomplishment.
Job Responsibilities
- Assume a pivotal role on the Structuring deal team supporting the VP deal captain and Associate in transaction management and overseeing designated projects.
- Underwrite and evaluate key fund terms fund domiciles corporate structures and tax considerations.
- Interact regularly with senior executives within the J.P. Morgan Private Bank as well as with fund management teams/principals and external service providers.
- Execute mid-stream transaction processes from late due diligence to fund launch.
- Develop marketing materials including flipbook presentations and executive summaries that present a clear concise message highlighting key marketing points and investment considerations.
- Utilize appropriate firm and industry resources to complete analysis of investment strategy competitor funds etc. as required.
- Collaborate with the Global Structuring Team and internal/external legal counsel to analyze and comment on offering materials including the private placement memorandum subscription documents and partnership agreements.
- Sign off on subscription documents and work with Legal to train the marketing force regarding the execution of documents.
- Review identify and communicate to the operations group any non-standard structural issues prior to the launch of investment.
- Educate and advise the Alternative Specialists Team on each transaction to ensure they are equipped to support regional teams and assist them in answering questions regarding investment opportunities.
- Coordinate the production of offering documents and liaise with Compliance and Risk Management to document marketing guidelines for all regions.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Bachelors Degree with at least 2 years of experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems and to manage multiple tasks at once
- Flexible team player with the ability to work independently
- Verbal presentation skills
