Due to substantial growth of the QinetiQ business QinetiQs IT operation is evolving to provide the technology and IT services that will underpin QinetiQs future global strategy and ambitions. We are now accepting applications for a positive well-rounded and forward thinking Cloud Engineer based in Adelaide Brisbane Canberra or Melbourne.

Reporting to the Infrastructure & Platforms Manager you will have a key role in building developing operating and managing QinetiQ technology infrastructure and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design deploy configure document and manage cloud solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tool sets and practices including Terraform Bicep Powershell and ARM templates.
• Manage and administer Azure cloud environments including provisioning configuration performance monitoring policy governance cost optimisation and security
• Design build configure and support cloud infrastructures using Azure and M365 services such as Entra ID Exchange Online SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business
• Contribute to cloud migration projects including assessment planning and execution of workloads into Azure.
• Support the implementation migration integration and management of cloud SaaS applications
• Act as the product owner and make decisions for assigned Cloud Services and Products

Required Skills & Experience

• Practical experience with IaC and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps Terraform Bicep or similar tools.
• Proven experience with developing and deploying infrastructure and applications as code (IaC) using Terraform Bicep or equivalent tools
• Solid experience in designing and implementing Azure solutions at the enterprise level.
• Deep understanding of Azure core infrastructure services networking secutity identity and governance.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS Cloud Platforms
• Experience with automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell Azure CLI and Bicep.

• Proven experience and understanding for many of the following technologies:

• Microsoft Technology Stack;
• Microsoft and M365 technology stacks (i.e. Server; SharePoint Exchange)
• Microsoft Intune and endpoint deployment and management methodology;
• Backup disaster recovery technologies and methodologies

• Strong understanding of cyber and information security frameworks principles and how these are applied in an operational environment
• Proficiency in infrastructure monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Whilst not essential a tertiary qualification in computer science or information technology would be advantageous.

Candidates will need to be eligible to obtain a Negative Vetting Level 1 Australian Government Security Clearance.
