General Description:
The Mental Health Therapist provides individual family and group therapy to children adults and families. They may also provide case management and consultation with PCPs schools ODHS Child Welfare and Self Sufficiency programs and other community partners. Clients are self-referred or referred through partnerships with local schools primary care physicians hospitals or ODHS Child Welfare or Self Sufficiency. Options accepts both commercial insurance and Oregon Health Plan.
Required Qualifications:
Masters or doctorate degree in counseling psychology social work or related field. Must be able to qualify as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and be eligible for registration as an associate (Social Work Associate Professional Counselor Associate Marriage and Family Associate) a Psychology Resident or licensure in the State of Oregon. Knowledge and/or experience providing mental health services including assessment and diagnosis to children families and/or adults. Must be computer proficient. Must have respectful open accepting attitude toward clients and their families. Must be able to pass a ODHS background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of the impact of trauma and experience working with individuals and families from a systemic lens. Knowledge of best practice methods of treatment for serious and persistent mental illness and the impacts of co-occurring disorders. Strong understanding of evidence-based practice and the role of feedback informed treatment. Experience with record keeping software preferred.
