Position Overview:The Central Falls School District seeks to hire a talented knowledgeable and highly innovative certified educator to fill the Special Education Inclusion position at the Raices Dual Language Academy for the 2025-2026 school year. Guided by the Districts Strategic Plan we strive to prepare all students for success!Position Responsibilities and Expectations:Provide direct instruction and/or support to students with disabilities tailored to their language of instruction (English and Spanish).Collaborates as part of a teaching team in a collaborative inclusive model with a special educator another classroom teacher a teaching assistant and other personnel as indicated by student needs and/or IEPs in addition to being part of his/her grade level team to differentiate instruction and ensure accessibility of content in both -plan and co-teach with bilingual and ESL teachers to align services and daily instruction based on the Common Core Standards the Central Falls School Districts Curriculum and each assigned Students Individualized Education Program (IEP). Will implement develop and manage students and all of their provided services including assigned Individualized Education Program (IEP) in accordance with all State and Federal Regulations. Coordinate and implement service delivery with general educators related services providers support staff other special educators and building administrators. Develop and implement classroom and curricular accommodations and modifications for students including language development adaptations for ELLs. Ability to identify new approaches and strategies to learning and teaching that stimulate critical thinking and problem-solving progress maintain documentation monitor student learning/progress and report as specified in the plan (RtI 504 Service IEP etc).Accommodating the needs of students in various educational environments as indicated in the instructional materials including implementing technology-based interventions that coordinate with district curricula accommodations and modifications to implement instruction that addresses students goals and skill needs while providing access to grade-level content. Provide appropriate and needed instructional supports and interventions to help students meet their academic goals accommodating the needs of students in various educational environments as indicated per students identified academic goals/needs. Collaborate with students families and the educational team to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with Federal and State Regulations. Coordinate/conduct educational re-evaluations progress reports and timelines with general educators related service providers support staff other special educators and building administrators. Utilize instructional materials including technology-based interventions that coordinate with district curricula accommodations and modifications to implement instruction that addresses students goals and skill needs while providing access to grade-level a positive learning environment that promotes the academic social and personal well-being of all and use adaptive/assistive technology as needed. Develop and implement classroom and curricular accommodations and modifications for students including language development adaptations for ELLs. Uses various assessment information to plan instruction and set all academic goals plans activities and actions on what is in the best interest of each all RIDE regulations related to ELL Students with Disabilities including determining if ELLs with disabilities are eligible to continue as ELLs or to exit from their ELL status and completing and distributing all related paperwork. Ability to understand analyze and evaluate information document students reading progress (STAR and other assessments ) and make connections among multiple factors data points ideas learning styles personalities and potential solutions to make the best decision possible. Maintain a positive learning environment that promotes the academic social and personal well-being of all with families regularly via phone calls emails and written correspondence to discuss student performance attendance progress duties are deemed necessary by the building administrator.
