Position: Strategic Finance Manager

Job Type: Exempt - Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Reports to: VP of Finance

Pay Range: $107000 - $128000 Annual Base


This role is 100% remote with no face-to-face contact with patients. We have a remote first environment and are proud to have team members located nationally.


Summary

The Strategic Finance Manager drives Lumata Healths financial planning budgeting and performance analysis partnering closely with senior leadership to influence key business decisions. By delivering actionable insights and robust financial models this role ensures the organization meets its growth objectives while maintaining fiscal discipline and transparency.


Essential Functions

  • Manage and refine comprehensive financial models for forecasting budgeting and strategic planning to support key business initiatives.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process and lead periodic forecast updates collaborating with department heads to consolidate projections.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analyses to identify trends risks and opportunities translating findings into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to assess business performance and drive strategic initiatives that optimize financial outcomes.
  • Enhance financial reporting processes and tools to improve accuracy timeliness and decision-making capabilities.
  • Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and explaining variances.
  • Prepare recurring financial reports (income statement balance sheet cash flow and KPI dashboards) for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Execute ad-hoc analyses on topics such as pricing cost optimization and competitive benchmarking to support strategic decisions.


Requirements

Education and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Progressive experience in finance and accounting including budgeting forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in advanced Excel modelling and data analysis.
  • Experience developing and presenting board-level deliverables.

Preferred:

  • CPA or CFA designation.
  • Prior experience in a high-growth healthcare or technology environment.


Skills

Required:

  • Advanced financial modeling and quantitative analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with ability to tell a story with numbers.
  • Proven ability to manage projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail; able to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.

Preferred:

  • Experience with the following tools: Salesforce AWS / Quicksight and Intacct
  • Experience leveraging AI to streamline processes and produce insights


Physical requirements

  • Must have a home office that is secure and free of distractions (HIPAA-compliant workspace.)
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to hear speak call and virtually meet
  • Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing

In order to perform the essential functions of this job you must have a dedicated remote workspace and a wireless connection with a minimum of 50 Mbps of download speed and 10 Mbps of upload speed of dedicated internet bandwidth for each person working from home; the workspace is private and has low to no noise level as you will be on phone calls with patients. It is very important that your workspace is HIPAA compliant; your company issued laptop/pc must maintain visibility that only you can access as youll be handling patient data. You are also expected to have your camera on during virtual meetings therefore you must be in a designated workspace/room for privacy.
