Duration: 12 weeks (Summer)

Compensation: Paid hourly: $17/hour

Were looking for a motivated and creative marketing intern to support content development social media event promotions and customer communications.

Key Responsibilities

• • Assist in planning drafting and scheduling social media content across Facebook Instagram and other platforms
  • Help write and design promotional materials including flyers postcards and digital graphics
  • Support planning and execution of local marketing events (e.g. community booths giveaways or neighborhood campaigns)
  • Create and edit email marketing campaigns using Mailchimp or similar tools
  • Organize and catalog photo and video content for use in future campaigns
  • Track and report on campaign performance metrics
  • Collaborate with the business owner to brainstorm fresh marketing ideas

Learning Objectives

• • Apply core marketing principles to real-world customer engagement and promotional efforts
  • Develop and schedule content tailored to a defined brand voice and audience
  • Understand the basics of social media strategy and email marketing best practices
  • Assist with planning and logistics for grassroots and event-based marketing efforts
  • Gain confidence in working within small business marketing systems and tools (like Canva Mailchimp Google Workspace etc.)
  • Strengthen communication time management and project coordination skills

Ideal Candidate

• • Currently enrolled in a marketing communications digital media or related program
  • Strong writing organization and creative thinking skills
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content tools like Canva
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
