We are looking foraMedical Science Liaison (MSL) Dermatology Belux who is agile with a drive to build strong lasting relationships and who has an enthusiastic innovative mindset to come join our Medical Benelux Team to be based inBelgium.
About the role
The MSL role is a field-based scientific expert within the Immunology team focusing on rheumatology with you as the leading local scientific expert for UCB in the therapeutic area. The position does not require in-depth knowledge to be an expert in the field. The MSL role includes scientific discussions presentations and responses to unsolicited questions. Core content of these discussions will be topics of unmet medical needs which are of scientific / developmental importance to UCB in immunology. You are also involved in feasibility processes around new clinical studies and are the primary contact person for investigators interested in investigator-initiated research donations grants as well as for developing and executing the medical content of the local ecosystem plan. In addition you will build local medical plans conduct advisory boards and arrange scientific symposiums.
Who youll work with:
As the MSL Dermatology you are the scientific discussion partner that interacts with national and international Thought Leaders (Key opinion leaders: KOLs) and other healthcare professionals (HCPs) at various phases of the product life cycle. You work externally and internally and closely with an integrated team across functions. You like to work independently with a team player approach and you will report to the Medical Lead Rheum Derm BeLux.
What will you do:
Agile and proactive identification and management of key scientific and medical influencers based on local ecosystem dynamics.
Exploration and identification of new sources of patient value (innovative solutions and services) by placing the holistic disease burden of people suffering from chronic immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs) high on health cares agenda.
Manage and generate product/ disease state data (Phase III/IV IIS audits RWE etc.)
Partner with key clinical KOLs payers patient organizations and patients to advance medical initiatives in defined clinical practice areas to drive optimal patient care.
Shares insights innovation opportunities and patient needs internally to the patient-value units.
Drive development of real-world evidence in the local ecosystem and leverage the value of UCB solutions for patients to medical and payer communities.
Interested For this position youll need the following education experience and skills:
MSc. within field of Immunology/Life Sciences PhD in immunology is a big plus
Excellent communication/presentation skills. Languages: local language Dutch (French preferable) and English (written and spoken)
Work experience as MSL preferred however we also welcome applications from PhD graduates
Launch experience is a huge advantage.
Proven track-record having worked with biologics
Business acumen with a good understanding and holistic view on the healthcare ecosystem.
Influencing skills by building trust staying consistent and being assertive in a considerate way
Great project management skills
