POSITION:SUBSTITUTE WORKSTATIONTECHNICIANS

SCHEDULE: 2024 - 2025 SCHOOL YEAR- ON CALL AS NEEDED

SALARY:$16.66 - $21.99 PER HOUR

QUALIFICATION

REQUIRED: (Qualifications which are essential to the position)

  • Minimum of high school diploma
  • Minimum of 2 years computertroubleshooting experience
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills including ability to communicate technical issues in an easy to understand manner
  • Must work within designated bounds of authority and confidentiality
  • Demonstrated punctuality and an excellent work attendance record
  • Ability to follow safe work practices and procedures
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional cooperative working relationships
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with staff students and patrons
  • Ability to bend squat climb stairs and lift 10-15lbs frequently and lift move and carry heavy boxes and equipment occasionally
  • Ability to manipulate small hand tool and spend the majority of the work day standing or walking
  • Demonstrated working knowledge in the following areas:
  1. Repair and maintenance of personal computers and printers
  2. Upgrading and troubleshooting PC hardware and software issues including software incompatibilities
  3. Installation configuration and maintenance of computers within an enterprise network environment
  4. Troubleshooting computer software/hardware and LAN connectivity problems with the ability to describe the logical steps involved in troubleshooting a problem where several pieces of equipment could be at fault
  5. Installation configuration and troubleshooting of computer peripherial equipment like printers projectors docking stations document cameras sound systems etc

DESIRED: (Qualifications which are not required but would be useful to the position)

  • A Certification

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a safe and functional operating condition of computer equipment and peripherals by troubleshooting repairing maintaining installing and performing testing activities
  • Assemble install and configure computer equipment to the districts enterprise network using standard protocols
  • Complete work orders such as troubleshooting computer related issues installing equipment and connecting and moving devices
  • Familiarize oneself with the manufacturers guidelines in the installation of new equipment exercise total responsibility for maintenance of equipment and assist other department staff in repairing installing and testing pieces of equipment
  • Work with fellow team members in supporting desktop computers laptops tablets peripheral equipment including document cameras projectors network printers classroom sound systems and providing support for users software and hardware needs
  • Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation for the purpose of solving problems and determining appropriate actions to maintain computer operations on the network
  • Display a high level of customer service and ownership in all duties performed
  • Work through the troubleshooting process effectively annotating the process within the districts technology work ticket system
  • Perform preventive maintenance for computer data communication and/or peripheral equipment; test and adjust to appropriate standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
