TITLE: CURRICULUM SUMMER WORK
POSITION SUMMARY:
Curriculum Documentation: Using the revised district adopted UbD template groups of educators will work collaboratively to revise current units. The focus will be on completing Stage 1 and Stage 2 of the course sequence. Units developed over the summer will be reviewed by the Administrative Team and feedback will be provided. The draft units will be shared with the PLC/Departments during the school year. The PLC/Departments will then work on Stage 2.
Other Curriculum Work: Depending on the availability of funding we will consider proposals for curriculum development from individuals or teams ofteachers. If you would like to submit a proposal please follow the steps below:
Submit a proposal to your building principal. The proposal should include an overview of the project that you are proposing evidence to support the need for the project and the number of hours you are anticipating spending on the project.
If your principal approves your proposal they will notify me and you will receive additional information including instructions on how to apply expectations for the final product and guidelines for submitting the information.
When you have completed your project it will be submitted to your principal and me. Feedback may be provided and once the product meets expectations you will be asked to submit the required timesheet.
Work to be completed summer 2025 (7/1/25 start) - may includerequired in-person check ins.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Revise current curriculum units using the revised UbD template
2. Other curriculum work with approved proposal
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. PK-12 Teachers of the Bellingham Public Schools to include all content areas
2. Preferencewill be given to teachers working on curriculum documentation as described above
