Our client Friends with Dignity (FWD) is a volunteer-based not-for-profit registered charity dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence. Working in collaboration with refuges and crisis centres across Australia they provide practical programs that are unconditionally gifted to those in need. FwD is entirely self-funded and does not charge victims or referring organisations ensuring that support is accessible and without barriers.
About The Role
Friends with Dignity is seeking a committed Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee and streamline warehouse and logistics operations. This vital role ensures the efficient management of FWD s storage facilities transport processes and donation logistics all while maintaining high standards of workplace safety and community engagement whilst other responsibilities could include:
- Managing warehouse storage and transport logistics in collaboration with volunteers and managers
- Maintaining relationships with key storage partners and external transport contractors
- Ensuring workplace health and safety compliance
- Coordinating donation dispatch and receipt in partnership with the Logistics and Donations teams
- Organising and leading volunteer activities
- Overseeing access to premises and maintaining clean safe storage spaces
- Managing the FWD van including drivers and record-keeping
A Successful Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience in a warehousing/logistics role
- Experience managing warehouse functions and logistics processes
- Knowledge of supply chain inventory and distribution principles
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- High IT literacy and confidence with digital systems
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Natural leader and collaborative team player
- Calm and composed under pressure
- Reliable trustworthy and respectful of confidentiality
- Strong problem-solving abilities and initiative
- Professional and personable with a friendly down-to-earth attitude
- Passion for efficiency improvement and delivering great outcomes
- Adaptable and flexible with changing needs
Special Requirements:
- National Police Check
- Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Forklift license desirable
