Position Summary
Wecare Medical Specialty Group is seeking a dynamic experienced and results-oriented Senior Consultant to join our internal strategy and operations team. This role will act as a key internal advisor responsible for leading high-impact projects that drive strategic growth operational efficiency and financial performance across the organization. The Senior Consultant will work closely with executive leadership physicians and department heads to analyze complex challenges develop data-driven solutions and implement sustainable improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare consulting or a senior operational role within a health system combined with exceptional analytical and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Project Leadership:
Lead and manage a portfolio of complex cross-functional projects from discovery and planning through to execution and measurement.
Define project scope goals timelines and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Develop comprehensive project plans and manage resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Operational & Financial Analysis:
Conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis of clinical operational and financial data to identify root causes of issues and opportunities for improvement.
Analyze service line performance physician productivity revenue cycle management and patient access metrics.
Develop sophisticated financial models to support strategic initiatives business planning and new venture analysis.
Process Improvement & Optimization:
Evaluate and redesign key clinical and administrative workflows to improve efficiency reduce costs and enhance the patient and provider experience.
Apply process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) to streamline operations.
Develop and implement best practices across various departments.
Strategy Development & Advisory:
Support the senior leadership team in the development and refinement of the organizations strategic plan.
Provide insightful recommendations on market trends competitive landscape potential partnerships and growth opportunities.
Prepare and present clear compelling findings and recommendations to executive-level audiences.
Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement:
Build strong relationships and act as a trusted advisor to physicians practice managers and administrative leaders.
Develop and execute effective change management plans to ensure successful adoption of new processes and strategies.
Facilitate workshops meetings and interviews to gather information and build consensus.
Qualifications
Education:
Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) Healthcare Administration (MHA) Public Health (MPH) or a related field is strongly preferred.
Bachelors degree is required.
Experience:
Minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience with at least 5 years in healthcare management consulting or in a comparable strategic or operational role within a large medical group hospital or health system.
Demonstrated experience leading complex projects and driving measurable improvements in areas such as service line growth operational efficiency patient access and financial performance.
Experience with physician practice management revenue cycle and clinical operations is essential.
Skills & Knowledge:
Expert-level analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
Exceptional project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information to a variety of audiences including physicians and executives.
In-depth knowledge of the U.S. healthcare industry including delivery systems payment models and regulatory environment.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Self-motivated and able to work with a high degree of autonomy in a remote setting.
Work Authorization Requirements
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
U.S. Citizenship or a valid U.S. Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) is required for this position.
Work Environment
This is a fully remote position.
Availability for virtual meetings during standard business hours (specific U.S. time zone to be determined by team structure typically Eastern or Central Time).
