Our client a well-established architecture and engineering firm is looking to expand its team with a skilled Commissioning Specialist based in Austin Texas. ROLE HIGHLIGHTS
As a Commissioning Specialist your responsibilities will include overseeing and coordinating system commissioning activities across a range of educational and healthcare developments. Youll partner closely with design engineers construction teams and owners throughout each project phase.
Key Responsibilities:
Support projects from initiation through completion including all commissioning phases
Assist owners in defining project requirements and reviewing design documentation for alignment
Create commissioning plans and develop system-specific specifications
Conduct submittal reviews and site inspections throughout construction
Lead project meetings focused on commissioning progress
Prepare functional test procedures and conduct system-level performance testing
Manage issue tracking and resolutions through the lifecycle of each project
Review balancing reports and verify compliance with system performance criteria
Assemble system manuals and prepare comprehensive final reports for clients
WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED
The ideal candidate is organized detail-oriented and highly motivated. You should be comfortable managing multiple priorities and passionate about delivering high-quality outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
2-3 years of professional experience in building commissioning or a related field
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Willingness to occasionally work outside standard hours for testing purposes
Working knowledge of building systems and commissioning principles
Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with commissioning tools (e.g. CxAlloy Facility Grid)
Certification or licensure (EIT PE or commissioning credentials)
Background in HVAC design building controls or testing and balancing
