Overview:
The Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics includes a multidisciplinary staff consisting of nurses medical assistants social workers and clerical support. The position includes teaching responsibilities for residents and medical students.
This position requires an individual with excellence in clinical care and teaching. Minimum qualifications include an M.D. or D.O. degree board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics and Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics and eligibility for licensure in the State of Ohio.
Candidates will be able to collaborate with faculty in the Division of Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics at Nationwide Childrens Hospital located in Columbus Ohio. The division currently consists of 8 clinical faculty and 4 nurse practitioners who work closely with Pediatric Psychology and other disciplines to provide interprofessional care for children with a wide range of emotional behavioral and developmental disorders. Areas of expertise include Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Down Syndrome Myelomeningocele William Syndrome Neonatal Follow Up and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). The Child Development Center and Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders provide state of the art evaluation and treatment services for children with ASD and their families. The Division leads numerous quality improvement projects designed to improve clinical outcomes and reduce avoidable harm and is a member of the Autism Care Network (ACNet).
