Job Description

PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK
Position is responsible for researching analyzing and reporting on various planning projects and programs as part of the Comprehensive Plan. Incumbents are also involved with formulating modifying and administering current and/or long-range master plans. Essential functions include: the provision of staff support related to planning projects completion of research projects data compilation including survey (questionnaire) work and lands records research field evaluations and assessments demographic analysis grants administration public outreach public meeting facilitation preparation of maps charts and planning reports and the performance of other duties as assigned.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in Urban Planning or a closely related field; or any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. Strong data and GIS skills preferred.
TYPE OF EXAMINATION
Examination will be a rating of education and experience through a structured interview.
