The Opportunity
The Disease Area Squad Lead as an agnostic steward of resources leverages the expertise across the network to ensure integrated disease area outcomes are achieved through prioritization of business outcomes optimising resource allocation and seizing opportunities to deliver on evolving DA needs and enable triple win outcomes.
Whilst being hired into a country affiliate this role will be a member of the PI network working in cross border collaborations to realise and scale country outcomes by contributing to virtual cross border cross functional work package teams.
The role will have a 20% FTE designation (or hat) as a Disease Area Champion for Lung/HCC
Main Responsibilities
Provides inspirational leadership in setting the vision and strategic ambition for the squad and assuming overall accountability for the execution of this vision/ambition by applying Outcome based planning principles (including budget oversight)
Creates an environment where diverse technical disciplines can align develop and execute in order to pursue the affiliate/squad North Star ambition
Uses agile methodologies in the squad and constantly seeks for continuous improvement through team retrospectives
Ensures Customer (Internal and external) voice is included in their solutions through co creation and establishes a consistent and best-in-class customer journey experience through omnichannels
Provides VACC leadership and coaching of squad members peers and more broadly as required to ensure individuals and teams are fit-for-purpose and growing in line with their passion and the needs of the Organisation
In collaboration with other Squad Leads champions synergies in overall prioritisation of all squad priorities in line with Organisational resourcing capacity enabling re-use and reducing duplication in delivering seamless end-to-end patient solutions partnering with Global and Pharma international
Aligns squad vision and ambition with regional and global outcomes leverage the networked ways of working to identify synergies cross countries and maximize impact
End to end accountable for their respective squads including outcome based plan and defining (and regularly assess) resources and capabilities required to achieve these outcomes
Responsible to collaborate with other squad leads to prioritize and mane trade off decisions between squads and portfolio prioritization
Works collaboratively contributing and sharing expertise across the organisation to remove silos and duplication ensure efficient use of similar skill-sets and to ultimately support common pursuit of the organisational North Star.
