About the Role
The Rostering Officer plays a critical role in the rostering function working diligently to ensure the effective and responsive allocation of resources that meet the diverse service needs of participants. This position is centred on fostering timely and accurate communication with participants their families Support Workers and other Team Members regarding any changes in rosters or support arrangements.

Skills & Experience
Experience in working in a dynamic rostering team building and maintaining rosters for multiple teams across multiple services.
Well-developed organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) with the demonstrated ability to quickly learn relevant CRM software packages.
Ability to apply WHS legislation and organisational requirements to ensure a safe work environment.
Understanding or the ability to gain a working knowledge of the SCHADS Award and Fair Work Act as they pertain to scheduling rosters.
Engagement in the establishment and redesign of procedures to enhance rostering processes highlighting a continuous improvement mentality.
Possession of or eligibility to obtain a current Positive Blue Card and NDIS Card Notice along with a valid drivers license.
Ability to maintain rosters and time-recording systems ensuring data accuracy and relevance.
Strong understanding of privacy and confidentiality requirements when dealing with sensitive information.
Key Responsibilities
Efficiently allocate shifts a minimum of two weeks in advance while addressing emergency shifts immediately upon notification.
Work closely with team members and Service Delivery Managers to optimise scheduling processes and ensure service continuity.
Ensure adherence to the SCHADS Award and Fair Work Act in all rostering practices.
Help maintain and update rostering and time-recording systems for administrative efficiency.
Provide timely updates on shift changes to team members and participants fostering a respectful environment.
Maintain a professional demeanour in all communications being sensitive to the needs of participants.
Foster a collaborative team culture by providing support and constructive feedback to colleagues.
Actively participate in team meetings to discuss tasks and promote clarity in daily operations.
Accurately document conflicts of interest and maintain the Conflict-of-Interest register to uphold ethical standards.
Uphold the principles of the Human Rights Charter in all interactions.
Reporting of hazards and incidents ensuring a safe working environment for clients staff visitors and the community.
