Job Description
The University of Chicagos Department of Surgery Section of Transplant Surgery seeks Clinical Associates at 100% effort for renewable 3-year terms. Appointees will assist with various clinical responsibilities within the abdominal transplant programs. They will be responsible for abdominal organ procurement; assisting in the operating room during living donor kidney liver islet and pancreas transplants managing liver perfusion device/Organox; and caring for patients in the inpatient outpatient and ambulatory settings. These positions do not require teaching or scholarly activity. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent on qualifications. For information on benefits please consult the University of Chicago Benefits Guide: to the start of employment qualified applicants must 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois 3) be board-certified or board-eligible by The American Board of Surgery or the foreign equivalent and 4) have completed an American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) accredited fellowship or equivalent training in kidney and/or liver and/or pancreas transplantation.
