Job Description
The Assistant Director for the Morgan University Center & Event Services is a key leader in managing daily facility operations event logistics and student employee supervision across multiple campus venues including the Morgan University Center Clement Auditorium 416 College Street and the Red Barn. This position ensures that facilities are safe functional and welcoming while providing high-level event planning and coordination support for a wide range of university and community events. As a department leader this position collaborates in a cross-Divisional and cross-institutional approach to create a vibrant campus atmosphere the inspires and develops student and community engagement. This role also supports cross-campus operations including the Govs ID Card Office and Austin Peay Guest Houses and collaborates closely with campus partners and external stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes and excellent service. The Assistant Director contributes to strategic planning policy development and assessment efforts to enhance campus engagement optimize space utilization and continuously improve operations and achieve Division goals. Austin Peay State University is a four-year public doctoral-level university with six colleges and four Chairs of Excellence. The University has an enrollment of over 10000 students and is located in Clarksville Tennessee a community of an estimated 180000 people located approximately 40 miles northwest of Nashville TN.
