WHB Engineers is a well-established and growing Civil Engineering and Construction Management firm with offices in San Diego San Mateo Dublin Pleasant Hill and Chico California. Our firm provides a full array of engineering public works design and construction and project management services.

The Opportunity
We are looking for a Staff Engineer with a minimum of five years of experience. The ideal candidate for this opportunity is organized has solid communication skills can work independently is team oriented and personable. This position requires a dependable versatile individual who has experience in civil engineering design. Candidates are required to have a California PE License or qualified for licensure and actively in the process of obtaining a PE license.
Responsibilities:
- Works under general direction on complex projects to prepare designs reports and calculations in accordance with project requirements and engineering standards
- Works to ensure projects are on schedule within budget and meet the requirements of our clients
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum five years of demonstrated design and plan preparation experience
- California PE License or EIT registered and actively pursuing a California PE License
- Current experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills including an ability to interact professionally and knowledgeably with clients
- Self-motivated and goal oriented with strong attention to detail
- Solid experience with the MS Office Suite
We offer a generous salary and benefits package that includes company paid medical and dental insurance vacation and a 401(k) plan. The salary range for this position is $104000 to $112000 depending upon experience. Only qualified candidates that meet our requirements will be contacted.
