Position Summary:
The PRN Chaplain Associate provides expert spiritual care crisis intervention and compassionate support to patients their families and Suburban Hospital staff. Working under the Director of Spiritual Care and Chaplaincy this role involves assessing spiritual needs and offering empathetic listening and spiritual care interventions to aid in patient recovery particularly concerning illness or socio-economic challenges.
Key responsibilities include administering sacraments/ordinances such as Anointing of the Sick Communion Commendation of the Dying/Dead Memorials and Weddings. The ideal candidate will empower individuals to discover coping strategies from their own faith or spiritual journey maintaining an interfaith perspective without imposing personal beliefs. They will possess knowledge of diverse religious traditions serving people from various spiritual and cultural backgrounds. Coordination with a patients clergy or faith community will be handled with strict adherence to HIPAA regulations. This role requires adherence to professional chaplaincy standards and includes providing on-call services as needed.
Work Location: Bethesda MD
PRN on call (flexible hours but mainly evenings/ nights/ weekends)

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Salary Range: Minimum$37.00/hour - Maximum$37.00/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
