Maintains inventory items in DBS by processing transfers of inventory (stock vs. work in process) cycle counts and price maintenance.
Reviews bill of materials from job folders to determine if parts are to be purchased that are not in stock. Verifies that stock parts have sufficient levels to cover materials from the bill of materials.
Obtains competitive quotes negotiates prices and recommends vendor selection purchases goods and services maintains on hand supply of parts and supplies need for production.
Compares prices specifications and delivery dates with suppliers.
Reviews and completes price maintenance in DBS on inventory items daily comparing material requisitions versus DBS prices. Maintains excel spreadsheet for changes and also for all items purchased.
Reviews back order report weekly. Researches items to see if received and also calls on items not received to see when delivery is expected. Creates and maintains stock work orders to replenish inventory parts.
Processes cycle counts daily. Researches items as needed and make necessary DBS counter documents to adjust inventory counts to correct physical cycle count.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.
Ability to analyze varying products and service features prices and qualities and determine most cost-effective purchase for the organization.
Knowledge of purchasing procedures and practices.
Associates degree in business management or project management from college or university or related equivalent experience preferred.
Familiar with standard concepts practices and procedures within Phoenix Products and manufacturing.
