Seasonal: Summer 2025
Part-Time: June 2025 to October 2025
Pay Rate: $36 Hourly
Required Qualification: USCG Licensed OUVP Captain
As an Outdoor Pursuits Boat Captain for Homewood Club you will be part of creating the Homewood Experience. You may be asked to perform other tasks (outside of your key areas of responsibility) from time to time based on business needs. Key Responsibility #1: Member Experience and Vibe
Always provide our guests with prompt and professional service through genuine hospitality.

- Work with the Outdoor Pursuits Manager to create and innovate amenities and experiences offered by the Outdoor Pursuits Team.
- Support other teams and take on additional duties as assigned.
Key Responsibility #3: Daily Operations Operations & Activities
- Always maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Complete daily set-up and breakdown of activities per the departments SOP.
- Ensure the highest standard of health and safety is adhered to and that guests are coached on the effective/safe use of all equipment.
- Be outgoing and involved with the members and guests in their recreation activities and games.
- Staying current on all activities offered and equipment related to Outdoor Pursuits.
- Uphold the clubs policies and procedures both personally and with other staff.
- Demonstrate and train others in safe and effective usage of Outdoor Pursuits activities.
- Incorporate warm-up and cool-downs into all physically demanding activities.
- Integrate fun fitness and fitness-forward competitiveness into the experiences.
- Report any safety or maintenance concerns immediately to the Outdoor Pursuits Manager.
- Ensure all club assets in and outside of Homewood are used in the best interest of the club.
- Assist with inventory management and daily activity reporting.
- Manage guest amenities throughout the day as needed to include food beverages and other comforts.
Key Responsibility #4: Daily Operations Lake Pursuits
- Inspect Homewood watercraft daily for proper safety function and cleanliness.
- Communicate in a positive manner with Lake Tahoe agencies and law enforcement.
- Performs emergency duties in the event of fire accident or other disaster.
- Maintain a log of records for operations fueling and servicing of vessels.
- Plan and implement safety procedures including waivers watercraft maintenance and training.
- Instruct coach and facilitate water recreation and sports such as wake surfing wakeboarding wake foiling water skiing paddle boarding tubing kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding.
- Demonstrate watersports knowledge through safe and engaging instructional lessons.
- Encourage club members and guests to partake in water sports activities.
- Rotate within the team and take responsibility for coaching driving and spotting.
- Understand the operational systems of a wide variety of watercraft.
- Ensure that all watercraft comply with all US and California Boating Laws and Regulations.
- Assist with daily operations including prepping docking /securing and cleaning boats.
- Assist in the fueling of Homewood Club and guest boats.
