We are the People eXperience technology content organization (PXT) responsible for building the employee experiences and distributed web services that supports over 1 million Amazon employees every day through the Amazon culture. Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer in the PXT Content team you will focus on the Content Management Services (CMS) product that provides self-service capabilities to content authors architects and other Amazonians to generate and consume inside Amazon content. You will invent and develop modern experiences and services using AWS technologies.
A day in the life
Are you passionate about developing architectures that scale and perform at high availability using AWS technologies Do you have the customer obsession to build a highly available experience for hundreds of thousands of Amazon employees You will contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle including design development testing documentation and operations.
About the team
You will be joining the PXT Content team within Org. Our team is working on building Content Management Services (CMS) to create a unified experience for managing content across Amazon. Through CMS we provide a platform for content authors and architects to generate and consume content.
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
