JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently hiring full-time part-time casual Security Guards (Multiple Positions) for sites in Calgary Alberta. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for clients.
Pay Rate: $18 up to $22
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Enforce property standards rules and regulations in a reasonable and professional manner
- Utilize tact and diplomacy while on duty
- Respond to medical emergencies providing First Aid CPR or AED support until professional medical assistance arrives
- Maintain and enforce access control procedures
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of emergency and standard operating procedures
- Handle trespassers and unauthorized persons on the property in a fair and safe manner
- Maintain detailed incident reports and memo books
- Conduct periodic foot patrols of the property
- Investigate incidents and occurrences drafting detailed reports
- Ensure the peace safety and security of all patrons and clients
- Monitor CCTV surveillance systems
- De-escalate emergency/crisis situations as needed
- Assist emergency and law enforcement personnel
- Provide line management access control and customer service
- Support daily operations as directed
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Previous experience working directly with law enforcement the Police Service Military or as a Doorman/Bouncer is a strong asset.
- Must be physically capable of standing walking and patrolling for extended periods (8-12 hours)
- High degree of professionalism and strong work ethic
- Minimum of 1 year of prior security experience
- Experience in Loss Prevention / Retail Security is considered an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required
- Ability to take a proactive approach to security situations
- Capable of retaining and following all relevant information from management and designated staff
- Open to constructive feedback and committed to professional development
