Job Description

The Office of Student Conduct seeks a part-time (19 hours/week) Program Educator preferably available Tuesday through Thursday afternoons. The office operates Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and hours shall occur during this timeframe. This position is important in the Office of Student Conduct operations by providing educational programming and office support.

The Program Educator will implement the Brief Alcohol Screening Intervention for College Students (BASICS) the Cannabis Screening Intervention for College Students (CASICS) the Student High Risk Intervention for First-Time Alcohol Violations (SHIFT) and the Decision-making and Accountability Workshop. These programs are designed for undergraduate and graduate students found responsible for violating the university policies listed in theStudent Code of Conduct.

The Program Educator will provide feedback to the Assistant Dean of Student Conduct and the Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor regarding student participants needs for additional services when needed.

These needs may include but are not limited to mental health concerns sexual assault drug and alcohol use academic challenges and housing and food insecurity.

The Program Educator will assist in developing and implementing assessment tools that gather data on implementing all interventions. Data collected from assessments will be used to enhance the programs and initiate changes needed to strengthen the departments retention and persistence goals.

The Program Educator will assist the Administrative Assistant III in opening and closing case files scanning documents providing front desk and phone coverage creating and posting social media content and completing additional tasks as needed.
