Description
As a Respiratory Therapy Team Lead you will ensure the clinical needs of each child are implemented support a multidisciplinary team approach to clinical care and supervise staff to ensure delivery of quality care.
Schedule
- Flexible night shift schedule working 40 hours a week between the hours of 6pm-6am

What Youll Do
- Ensures staff provide care according to the childs care plan and provide clinical care according to best practices as defined by ChildServe policy and practice manuals.
- Ensures staff document accurately completely and timelyas defined by nursing/respiratory therapy standards or practice and ChildServe policies and procedures and provides feedback to supervisor on how the documentation system can be improved.
- Serve as a preceptor and is responsible for ensuring newly hired staff are competent to provide care.
- Responsible for effectively managing staff performance as well as developing staff skills talents and knowledge.
- Responsible for ensuring supervised staff are current with all unit and ChildServe specific information.
- Addresses stakeholder feedback effectively respectfully and professionally.
- Ensures environment is maintained according to regulatory demonstrates good stewardship of ChildServe equipment supplies and environment.
- Provides direct care as assigned.
- Ensures adequate numbers of qualified staff to meet the needs of children within defined clinical model.
- Within the respiratory therapy scope of practice and physicians ordersensures the implementation of each childs care plan and achieves the goals set forth in that care plan.
What Youll Need
- Certification from an accredited respiratory therapy program and current licensure to practice in the state of Iowa
- Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Two year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist inin the field of pediatrics rehabilitation and/or with children with complex medical needs
- Ability to communicate effectively in reading writing and speaking the English language
