About Unity

Your Role & Responsibilities

As the Chairperson of the High School Science Department you will:

  • Lead high-quality Science instruction ensuring rigorous engaging and standards-aligned teaching.
  • Develop and manage curriculum to ensure spiraled college-preparatory coursework.
  • Manage and support a team of teachers fostering growth through coaching and professional development.
  • Manage student data systems to drive instructional improvements and enhance student achievement.
  • Ensure strong classroom management and collaborate with school leaders to support student success.

Who Were Looking For

  • At least two years of instructional leadership experience.
  • A proven track record of student growth and mastery in Science.
  • Expertise in curriculum development and assessment design.
  • Strong leadership coaching and adult management skills.
  • Commitment to equity and culturally responsive teaching practices.
