Your Role & Responsibilities
As the Chairperson of the High School Science Department you will:
- Lead high-quality Science instruction ensuring rigorous engaging and standards-aligned teaching.
- Develop and manage curriculum to ensure spiraled college-preparatory coursework.
- Manage and support a team of teachers fostering growth through coaching and professional development.
- Manage student data systems to drive instructional improvements and enhance student achievement.
- Ensure strong classroom management and collaborate with school leaders to support student success.
Who Were Looking For
- At least two years of instructional leadership experience.
- A proven track record of student growth and mastery in Science.
- Expertise in curriculum development and assessment design.
- Strong leadership coaching and adult management skills.
- Commitment to equity and culturally responsive teaching practices.
