Job Description
Overview
The Student Nutrition Access Center (SNAC) at USU Eastern is seeking a reliable friendly and service-minded student to join our team as a part-time SNAC Assistant. This position plays a vital role in supporting students by helping them access nutritious food and maintaining a welcoming inclusive space.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist students who visit SNAC
- Answer basic questions about food options and program eligibility
- Ensure food shelves are stocked organized and clean
- Track inventory and notify staff when supplies are low
- Uphold a respectful inclusive and confidential environment for all students
- Assist with occasional outreach events and SNAC-related programs
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Dependable self-motivated and organized
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Passionate about supporting fellow students and reducing food insecurity
- Prior experience in customer service or food service is a plus but not required

Light Physical Duties:
This position requires moderate physical effort. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including lifting up to 25 pounds walking and standing. Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment.

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants but not necessarily occasional temperature changes. This position requires moderate physical activity including the handling of objects up to 25 pounds and/or standing or walking more than one hour per day.
