Position Responsibilities:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused DME Specialist to provide excellent patient care and support in the clinical setting. In this role you will be responsible for measuring and applying durable medical equipment (DME) to patients as directed by providers ensuring proper fit. This role involves educating patients and caregivers on equipment use and care instructions resolving patient concerns related to equipment use conducting pre-authorizations/pre-certifications and referrals when applicable ensuring all documentation guidelines are met as required by each insurance carrier and informing patients of their potential financial responsibility for the equipment. Other responsibilities include ordering products maintaining functional inventory and assisting clinical and casting staff with direct and indirect patient care activities. ORA holds all our staff members accountable for providing high-level care maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations. As a DME Specialist you will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care and supporting medical professionals in various aspects of patient management procedure assistance and administrative tasks.
Requirements:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous DME medical assisting or other related healthcare experience is strongly preferred. A successful candidate will have knowledge of the musculoskeletal system anatomy and physiology medical terminology and electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well within a team and collaborate with medical professionals is a requirement of this position. Flexibility to work days evenings and weekends. This position requires travel to various ORA clinic locations as scheduled.

The pay range displayed for this position represents the pay range for all positions that are classified in this job grade. Individual pay will depend on a wide range of factors such as candidate skills experience qualifications education location licensure certification requirements and alignment with company benchmarks.
