Compensation
At S&C we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated hourly base pay rate for this position is $20.This role is also eligible for S&Cs annual short-term incentive bonus subject to eligibility criteria.

Are you passionate about Assembly S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our assemblyfunction. As an assembler youll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. The Assembler-Basic role involves performing essential mechanical assembly tasks to support the production of S&Cs products. This entry-level position requires basic wiring mechanical assembly and the ability to follow schematics and assembly instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic mechanical assembly tasks including mounting components and securing parts to precise tolerances.
- Operate machines that support the Fuses assembly area such as the Denison press Auto bag Tecnomagnete and more.
- Inspect components and assemblies to ensure correct component selection placement and wiring according to quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of tasks performed deviations and any quality concerns.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols while handling tools equipment and materials. Report any safety hazards promptly.
- Complete in-house training to learn how to read basic blueprints and Bills of Materials (BOLs).
- Use an overhead crane and other material handling equipment to move and position materials for assembly.
- Verify quality standards via a quality assurance checklist.
- Meet department targets and consistently adhere to quality and safety standards including the use of lifting devices and other ergonomic or safety devices when required.
- Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.
What youll Need To Succeed:
- Ability to follow standard work including specific written instructions and procedures.
- Ability to perform basic and precise subassemblies
- Ability to use air-impact tools and other hand-held tools.
- Ability to use basic math.
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Assembly experience preferred.
- Candidates with electrical or mechanical trade school education may also be considered.

- Community college or other education in an electrical or mechanical field.
Required
- 0-1 year of experience in mechanical assembly which can include personal or hobby experience.
- Must have a desire to learn electrical/mechanical assembly processes follow assembly instructions and use various hand/power tools to assemble products.
- Proficient in performing precise and delicate tasks using hands and fingers. Able to manipulate small objects operate tools and handle intricate equipment effectively.
- Good attention to detail with the ability to determine accurate part quantities consistently.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to articulate information efficiently and effectively to team members in a variety of production support departments.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to review and respond to requests via internal applications.
- Basic math skills with the ability to calculate measurements and weights.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to understand and complete requests given by team members inside and outside of the department.
- Ability to use hand tools power tools and measurement tools.
- Willingness to do physical work in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability and willingness to follow Health Safety & Environment procedures accurately reporting concerns promptly to the safety action team.
Preferred
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement manufacturing principles.

- Walking: Occasional walking moderate distances (Less than 1/8 mile).
- Carrying: Occasional carrying of parts ranging in weight from 1 lb. to35 lbs.
- Pushing: Occasional pushing of assemblies and piece part containers ranging in weight from 10 lbs. to35 lbs.
- Pulling: Occasional pulling of assemblies and piece part containers ranging in weight from 10 lbs. to35 lbs.
- Bending: Occasional bending required to perform a variety of tasks.
- Reaching: Frequent reaching to load and unload parts from work area to skid.
- Handling: Continuous handling of parts ranging in weight from 1 lb. to35 lbs. along with a variety of hand tools.
