Job Description:
Your new role
Here at Hitachi Rail we have a unique and exciting opportunity for a TMC Manager (London North Pole TMC) responsible for the overall responsibility for the safe and profitable operation of Depot and all its business functions
Specifically you will be responsible for the following deliverables:
- Development and implementation of Management systems to fulfil the requirements of the Depot Access Agreement and Train Service Agreement
- Responsible for the development and implementation of maintenance provision and third party service provision.
- Establishing and monitoring company and individual personnel objectives and performance
- Responsible for the operation of the depot and holding safety responsibilities for actions and personnel on site.
- Creating and developing an effective CI culture.
- Responsible for supporting all functions with the depot.
- Working closely with rolling stock leasing company and train operating company to ensure their reasonable expectations are managed and met.
- Establishing a constructive working relationship with relevant Trade Unions and in liaison with HR working with them to ensure positive outcomes with regards to day to day industrial relations.
- Overall responsibility for the safe efficient and profitable operation of the Depot.
- Management of the Depot budget including responsibility for delivering financial and KPI targets.
- Develop professionally and support good working relationships
- Learn new skills in accordance with Hitachis new business demands as required
About you
- Extensive experience at a senior level in the set up and/or management of a modern Rolling Stock Maintenance Depot.
- An experienced Rolling Stock Maintenance Engineer.
- Outstanding Safety Awareness gained in safety critical engineering environments.
- Engineering facilities and infrastructure management.
- Management of large Technical Teams
- A Proven ability to negotiate successfully with Trade Unions
- Familiar with Engineering and Logistics support systems such as Fleet Management Maintenance Management and rolling stock diagnostics systems.
- A sound understanding of Logistics Support and Supply Chain requirements
- Able to build and manage Depot budgets.
- Network Rail Sentinel PTS
Desirable
- Management Experience in an ISO9001 Quality Management Environment
- An understanding of Integrated Logistics Support or similar through-life management principles
Qualifications
- Relevant Degree HND or relevant equivalent experience
