Your opportunity

We are currently seeking a Structural Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our dynamic Structures & Facilities team in the London St. Johns or Sydney office. This is your opportunity to work alongside industry experts on a diverse range of structural projects enhancing your technical skills and advancing your career.

What Youll be Doing

Design & Technical Contributions

• Participate in the design and analysis of buildings marine structures equipment supports and more.
• Assist in evaluating existing structures under various loading and maintenance conditions.
• Engage in structural condition assessments and prepare engineering reports with actionable recommendations.

Project Collaboration

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on innovative and complex projects.
• Contribute to proposals client presentations and comprehensive reports.
• Conduct site visits to industrial and commercial locations with occasional travel to other Dillon offices for cross-team collaboration.

Continuos Learning

• Benefit from mentorship by senior engineers and structured learning programs.
• Participate in professional associations and committees to expand your network and expertise.

What youll bring

Educational and Technical Skills

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering specializing in structural design.
• Knowledge of Canadian structural codes and standards.
• Familiarity with design software such as STAAD RISCA-3D PCA Mathcad and AutoCAD.
• Comfortable working around industrial equipment and in active facility environments.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities with a practical value-driven approach.
• Excellent communication organization and time management skills.
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and collaborate within a team-oriented environment.

• 05 years of relevant experience in structural design or analysis preferably related to facilities or buildings.
• Exposure to steel and concrete structures is an asset.
