The Role
As the Vice President of Sales you will be a member of the Executive Leadership team reporting directly to the CEO. You will be responsible for establishing and coordinating all go-to-market strategies plans programs and functions. This critical role will be responsible for building the global market position with oversight of key Business Development functions including go-to-market strategy strategic partnerships sales pricing and contracts.

Key Responsibilities
- Setting sales goals and objectives:The VP of Sales is responsible for setting ambitious yet achievable sales targets and objectives for the company
- Developing and implementing sales strategies: The VP of Sales is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies that align with the companys overall business goals and objectives
- Leading and managing the sales team:The VP of Sales is responsible for building leading and managing a high performing sales team including hiring training and motivating sales executives
- Overseeing Sales Operations:The VP of Sales is responsible for locating or proposing potential business deals by contacting potential clients; discovering and exploring opportunities informing them about new developments with the companys products
- Analyzing sales data and trends: The VP of Sales is responsible for analyzing sales/CRM data and trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Building relationships with key clients:The VP of Sales is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients to drive business growth
- Problem solving & thought leadership:The VP of Sales becomes a thought leader in industry forums in latest trends & technologies and provides guidance and problem solving assistance to Clients and Company CTO in new product development initiatives
- Budgeting and forecasting: The VP of Sales is responsible for creating and managing the sales budget and forecasting future sales trends.
- Collaborating with other departments:The VP of Sales is responsible for collaborating with other departments such as marketing and product to ensure that the sales team has the resources and support needed to achieve its goals.
- Building Culture of Success and Value:The VP of Sales is responsible for creating a culture of success in terms of long-term thinking and value delivery to customers
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Education:Bachelors degree in engineering or business related fields. MBA masters and/or PhD degree desired.
- Experience:Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise software sales in Manufacturing Supply Chain and/or Information Technology solutionsin the regulated industries (i.e. pharmaceuticals food & beverage cosmetics).
- Sales Expertise: Selling Software as a Service (SaaS) and/or Cloud solutions to enterprise customers with a consultative & value-based selling approach
- Leadership: Must be a strong leader who can inspire motivate and guide the sales team towards achieving its goals and establish credibility with customers
- Strategic thinking: Must be able to think strategically and develop sales strategies that align with the companys overall business goals considering resource constraints
- Communication skills:Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information and ideas to the sales team clients and stakeholders
- Problem-solving skills: Must have strong problem-solving skills to identify and address challenges and opportunities in the sales process and help customers solve their business and operational problems
- Adaptability: Must be able to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs and be able to pivot sales strategies as needed.
- Relationship-building skills:Must be able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders across all levels of the organization
- Negotiation skills: Must be skilled at negotiating deals and closing sales
- Analytical skills: Must be able to analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Knowledge of market and technology: Must be experienced in technology trends in Cloud Technologies IoT Big Data Machine Learning Artificial Intelligence & Blockchain
- Automation & Scalability:Experience using leading CRM Platforms to track automate and report sales management processes and report performance metrics
- Travel: Flexibility to travel up to 50% to visit customers partners and/or prospects mainly in North America Europe Middle East and Asia.
