In this role you will be responsible for conducting pavement testing and field operations within the Departments Pavement Evaluation and Testing (PET) Unit specifically focusing on the Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) Program. Your expertise will serve as a vital link between PennDOT personnel representatives from various agencies industry stakeholders and the general public regarding FWD-related inquiries and technical matters. Furthermore you will engage in specialized tasks associated with PennDOTs initiative for Automated Data Collection Inventory and Analysis of Pavement Distress. This position may require frequent overnight travel across the state as well as occasional work during weekends and nights to meet project demands and timelines.
