Role Summary:

Gesa Credit Union is seeking a dynamic and experienced Loan Processing Manager/Team Leader to lead our consumer lending processing individual will oversee the processing of a variety of loan productsincluding auto loans personal loans credit cards and RV loansensuring operational excellence and compliance. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who can motivate coach and inspire team members toward high performance and continuous professional growth. In this role the manager will establish and monitor key performance metrics to track individual and team success in meeting budgeted goals. A commitment to fostering a positive professional and collaborative work environment is essential as is the ability to build strong relationships with internal departments credit union vendors and other stakeholders. Additionally the Loan Processing Manager will work closely with the AVP of Virtual Member Fulfillment on strategic planning budgeting and shaping the long-term vision of the department contributing to the overall success of the credit union.

What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Partner with stakeholder and cross-functional teams to align and execute Consumer Lending strategies ensuring cohesive collaboration across departments to drive business objectives
  2. Lead and inspire the consumer loan processing teams fostering a collaborative high-performance work environment
  3. Oversee the end-to-end processing of auto loans personal loans credit cards RV loans and indirect auto loans ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards
  4. Monitor team performance offering guidance and support to ensure timely and accurate loan processing
  5. Partner with cross-functional departments to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency
  6. Evaluate processing procedures to identify improvement opportunities and implement best practices that boost productivity and member satisfaction
  7. Prepare and deliver performance reports loan processing metrics and compliance updates to upper management
  8. Set clear performance expectations and provide coaching to ensure alignment with organizational standards
  9. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to review individual performance and provide developmental feedback
  10. Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team
  11. Deliver exceptional member service in a high-volume fast-paced environment
  12. Ensure all team members are thoroughly trained on current and new processing procedures
  13. Maintain a professional courteous and welcoming atmosphere for both members and staff
  14. Fulfill Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) responsibilities as applicable to the role
  15. Stay informed on relevant laws regulations policies and procedures affecting loan processing operations
  16. Manage risk effectively and perform duties in a safe and sound manner
  17. Demonstrate respect for diversity and varying levels of experience and knowledge
  18. Exercise sound judgment and discretion in decision-making and problem resolution
  19. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all credit union lending products and rates
  20. Support departmental and organizational goals by performing additional duties and participating in special projects as assigned

About You:

  1. Ability to multi-task on multiple projects simultaneously and remain organized
  2. Ability to effectively communicate in writing in person and over the phone
  3. Ability to successfully supervise assigned staff and complete performance reviews
  4. Ability to use people skills to ensure that member and employee related issues are handled in a fair and consistent manner
  5. Ability to analyze situations and make quality decisions in a timely manner with attention to detail
  6. Ability to maintain professional image through verbal and written communication behavior

What You Will Need:

  1. At least four (4) years of credit union banking or financial institution experience desired
  2. Two (2) years of experience in a supervisor/management role
  3. Two (2) year college degree in related field completion of specialized course of study or equivalent years of direct or related experience
  4. Experience with lending-specific software desired
  5. Proficiency with standard office equipment lending software spreadsheets Outlook and word processing
  6. Some travel may be required to complete credit union training and business objectives
  7. Ability to work and negotiate with members/employees to achieve the desired credit quality goal of the credit union

$86586.54 - $129879.81
