THE WORK
The CH53K maintenance team performs a wide variety of repairs maintenance and modifications to support the USMC fleet. Qualified candidates must be able to perform a variety of operations such as connector and wire repair System check-outs modifications and troubleshooting. Under minimal supervision perform a variety of moderately complex tasks and be skilled in the use of precision measuring devices (multi-meters air data test sets etc.) wire and connector repair kits. Must be able to remove install and test Avionic systems on the aircraft remove and replace wire harnesses including termination of wires routing of wires clamping string tying changing circuit breakers batteries Pitot/Static system checkout and troubleshoot. Familiarity with aircraft data-bus systems and repair. Maintains troubleshoots and repairs aircraft electrical systems.
Typical roles include major modifications of electrical systems and wiring incorporation of ECPs Technical Directives ASAMS ASBs and CSNs validate and verify retrofit upgrades and administer training to customers (OJT).
Become familiar with and support the organizations Quality policy and objectives and self- inspect work prior to final quality inspection.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications:
Applicant must have 5 years of experience in an aircraft maintenance environment with 3yrs avionics experience maintaining 53K aircraft (preferred) or similar advanced avionics system aircraft. Must be able to perform a variety of operations such as connector and wire repair System check-out and troubleshooting. Under minimal supervision perform a variety of moderately complex tasks and be skilled in the use of precision measuring devices (multi-meters air data test sets etc.) wire and connector repair kits. Must be able to remove install and test avionic systems on the aircraft remove and replace wire harnesses including termination of wires routing of wires clamping string tying changing circuit breakers batteries Pitot/Static system checkout and troubleshoot. Familiarity with aircraft data-bus systems and repair. Maintains troubleshoots and repairs aircraft electrical systems.
Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics wiring and circuit diagrams and follow Special Service Instructions (SSIs) as required to retrofit electrical and avionics systems. Must have experience with fly by wire flight control systems aircraft communication navigation and counter measure systems operations and maintenance.
Must be knowledgeable of Tool control FOD Supply HAZMAT Quality procedures and basic flight line operations. Must possess a working knowledge of Maintenance Information systems such as IETM and aircraft forms documentation.
Typical roles include crash damage evaluation major depop and repop of electrical systems and wiring incorporation of ECPs Technical Directives ASAMS ASBs and CSNs validate and verify retrofit upgrades and administer training to customers (OJT).
Comply with all EH&S policies and applicable regulatory rules and requirements.
Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with Sikorsky engineering systems such as Solumina and Matrix is preferred.
- Familiarity with NAVAIR Technical Directives.
- CH53K maintenance and operations experience
- Working knowledge of NAVAIRs OOMA system.
- Familiarity with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP 4790)
