The Senior Risk Manager Last Mile is a leadership role at Amazon that reports to the Senior Manager Last Mile Risk. Key job responsibilities
The position will lead the Regions Last Mile Risk program. Key responsibilities include:
- Leverage various data sources to identify and monitor risk
- Develop effective treatment plans based on key risk indicators (KRIs)
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative risk assessments
- Help establish proactive policies and protocols as well as enhancing reporting outcomes.
- Manage the creation and continued maintenance of training content.
- Measure program effectiveness through key performance indicators (KPIs) and KRIs to make data-driven decisions to support continuous improvement of performance operational processes and inform risk mitigation actions.
- Manage objectives and work assignments for area of responsibility by balancing business requests analysis of data and incident reports
- Build cross-functional partnerships and contribute to Multi-Disciplinary Teams Business Coaches Security & Loss Prevention Site Operational Leaders Employee Relations and Legal teams leading training and awareness sessions to focus on incident prevention not just incident response.
- Manage the alignment of mitigation program efforts with cross-functional business teams involved in all aspects of new program development.
- Deliver detailed well-organized factual and timely information reports assessments and presentations.

The Senior Risk Manager Last Mile will be central to the delivery of Amazons Last Mile Risk program across AMER. The safety and well-being of our people is our highest priority. About the team
The AMER Last Mile Risk teams Vision is to ensure the security of our transporters by proactively identifying and mitigating on road security risks.
Our team investigates and identifies trends to reduce the occurrences of on road loss and security incidents. We seek out and analyze the appropriate data to predict areas of vulnerability using a holistic approach to risk reduction and mitigation. We do this through public sector engagement education communication and implement proactive measures to minimize negative on road interactions.
- 6 years of compliance audit or risk management experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
- Masters degree or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
