Job Description

THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role you will be supervising caseworkers that are engaged in the provision of a variety of services. Your duties include training new staff overseeing caseworkers assigned cases and reviewing records to determine the quality of services rendered. You will plan and conduct ongoing training activities for staff members evaluate staff performance and make recommendations regarding personnel actions.

Other duties to include but not limited to:

  • Planning and supervising the administrative aspects of the work such as assigning cases districting and flow of work
  • Contacting other agencies and interpreting the program to the community
  • Offering presentations in the community which explain and advance the agencys child protection mission
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of agency services and contracted service providers
  • Participating in management team meetings fostering an atmosphere of mutual trust respect and dedication to the mission of the agency

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday - Friday with 60-minute lunch.
  • Flexibility in work schedule is often required since appointments may be outside of the standard Monday through Friday workday of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. that can include weekends.
  • Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary:In some cases the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelors degree with major course work in sociology social welfare psychology gerontology criminal justice or other related social sciences; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology social welfare psychology gerontology criminal justice or other related social sciences.
