Clinical Assistant Professor of Counseling Psychology Non-Tenure-Track
As a core member of CPSY faculty the individual hired for this position will work alongside colleagues to facilitate the training of our doctoral students. In addition to teaching responsibilities this position includes the administrative titles and responsibilities of Director of the Purdue Counseling and Guidance Center (PCGC)and Director of the Collaborative Leadership Certificate (CLC). The successful candidate is expected to:
Applicants for the position must hold an earned doctorate from an APA-accredited program in counseling psychology clinical psychology or a closely related field by the position start date. The successful candidate must either be licensed in the State of Indiana and credentialed as a Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP) or be able to acquire these credentials within two years as a condition of ongoing will be given to applicants who have the training and expertise to teach courses that fulfill one of APAs discipline specific knowledge requirements (cognitive affective biological social).
At Purdue University clinical faculty are full members of the university faculty with multi-year contracts promotion capabilities and a variety of resources and programming available to them. Given the nature of this position the candidate would be expected to demonstrate excellence in the areas of clinical practice/application service/engagement and clinical/classroom education.
