Specialty Turf Supply specializes in the construction renovation and maintenance of various athletic fields across the state of Alabama.
We are urgently hiring maintenance/grounds crew members to maintain sports fields in the Birmingham area! This opportunity is great for anyone who enjoys working outdoors in a laid-back environment. Join a team of dedicated professionals who take pride in maintaining high-quality baseball/softball soccer football and other athletic fields . We strongly value teamwork and a strong work ethic while maintaining a positive and supportive environment.
This full-time position will be expected to perform physical labor tasks including but not limited to:
mowing
weed-eating
edging
painting field lines
raking
shoveling
mowing

Crew members are required to:
-have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
-have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
-be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
-safely operate landscape equipment
-have a valid US Drivers License
-have obtained a high school diploma or GED
Strong preference for candidates with experience in irrigation systems.

-Starting pay $17-$21
-Bi-Weekly pay
-Many opportunities for Overtime pay

Specialty Turf Supply was founded in 2003 by Mike Hill from Birmingham AL. Hill began his career in turf equipment sales where he called on customers throughout Alabama and established long term relationships in the turf care industry.
When Hill founded Specialty Turf Supply he was providing services to the golf course sod and sports field industries providing renovation and maintenance services and selling specialized equipment.
As he established clients and built an experienced staff the company realized their strength was in construction and renovation in the sports field industry as well as natural and synthetic turf maintenance services.
Today Specialty Turf Supply is an expert in all sports field construction sports field renovation and maintenance specializing in natural turf maintenance and synthetic turf maintenance for football baseball soccer lacrosse and softball.
Specialty Turf Supply is licensed to provide sports field construction renovation and maintenance services for any school municipality college or venue located in Alabama Mississippi Tennessee and Louisiana.
