Job Summary
Job Title: Summer Camp Aide
Location: St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church & School Brentwood MO
Affiliation: Archdiocese of St. Louis
Position Type: Seasonal / Part-Time (Summer Program)
Reports To: Camp Director / Principal
St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church & School in Brentwood is seeking energetic responsible and faith-filled individuals to serve as Summer Camp Aides for our summer camp program. The Summer Camp Aide will assist in supervising children facilitating daily activities and maintaining a safe welcoming and Christ-centered environment. This is an ideal role for high school or college students interested in education youth ministry or childcare.
Job Responsibilities
Assist camp staff in the supervision and care of children in daily activities both indoor and outdoor.
Support the implementation of structured activities such as crafts games lessons and faith-based programming.
Help maintain a safe clean and organized environment in classrooms and play areas.
Model respectful and faith-centered behavior at all times.
Build positive relationships with campers parents and fellow staff.
Assist with snack/lunch distribution setup and cleanup of activities and transitions between activities.
Respond calmly and appropriately to minor incidents and communicate any concerns to the Camp Director.
Attend any required training or orientation sessions prior to the start of camp.
Job Requirements
Practicing Catholic preferred; must be respectful of Catholic values and teachings.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Experience working with children in a school camp or parish setting is a plus.
Friendly responsible and enthusiastic attitude.
Ability to follow directions work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
Must complete all Archdiocese of St. Louis Safe Environment requirements prior to employment.
