Salary: $56000 - $610000

SUMMARY:
The Route Relief Sales Driver for the Distribution Department in all branches except Newport News is responsible for covering open positions/shifts within their assigned branch and training newly hired associates. Open positions may include Route Sales Drivers and/or Shipping and Receiving Associates who have scheduled or unscheduled time off and positions/shifts open due to resignation termination and/or newly created positions.

• Provides on-the-job training for all new Route Sales Drivers and Shipping and Receiving Associates in all aspects of the job.
• Sets an example for other team members by their appearance punctuality leadership and attitude towards the company and customers.
• Maintains a high level of familiarity with all routes customers and warehouse protocols.
• Stays informed of all programs policies and product changes regarding routes and communications with staff.
• Fulfills departmental requirements in providing work coverage and administrative notification during periods of personal illness vacation or personal leave.
• Assist in other areas as needed.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Active CDL Class A or B license

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must be able to reach bend extend and lift 50-60 pounds.

• Must be able to frequently walk stand stoop bend reach climb and pull.
• Must be able to frequently lift milk case weighing up to 55 lbs. and push/pull stacks of milk weighing 250-300 lbs. using provided equipment.

• The work environment may require working in the cooler room with varying degrees of temperature and may include contact with water or dairy liquids.
• Exposed to a noise level of 90 decibels. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate/high. Wet/slippery work conditions.
• Ability to tolerate frequent temperature changes hot and cold environments inside outside refrigerated areas and coolers.
