Job Description

Job Title: Aircraft Electrical Installer (Aircraft Maintenance D)

Job Code: 24547

Job Location: Waco TX (On-Site)

Job Schedule: 1st OR 2nd 4/10s OT

Job Description:

The Aircraft Mechanic position will be responsible for performing installations testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and components in aircraft. This role ensures that all electrical systems are installed according to specifications regulations and safety standards.

Essential Duties:

  • Install electrical wiring components and systems in aircraft according to blueprints schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Conduct functional and operational tests of electrical systems and components to ensure proper installation and operation.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues in aircraft systems and components.
  • Maintain accurate records of all installations tests and repairs performed.
  • Ensure all work complies with FAA regulations company policies and industry standards.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Work closely with other technicians engineers and departments to ensure efficient and accurate completion of projects.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints schematics and technical manuals.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft electrical systems and components.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use hand tools power tools and testing equipment effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Ability to stand kneel and bend for extended periods.
  • Work is performed in a hangar or workshop setting.
  • Exposure to loud noises fumes and other hazards typical of an aircraft maintenance environment.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security clearance.
  • Willing and able to work overtime any shift and weekends as required.
  • Must provide your own requisite basic tools prior to starting to work; tool list will be provided. Tools must be shadowed and engraved L3Harris will provide the material to complete this task once hired.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with eight (8) years of prior aircraft electrical installation experience.
  • 2 years post-Secondary/associates degree with four (4) years of prior aircraft electrical installation experience.
  • Completion of Airframe and Power plant schooling will be taken into consideration.
  • Must successfully pass a Flight Line Physical.
  • Able to obtain forklift scissor lifts boom lift and aircraft tow vehicles certification.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • P8 or P3 Periodic Scheduled Maintenance or Depot level maintenance or modification experience.
  • Forklift Certification.
