Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager for our thriving Restaurant & Bar located in the vibrant city of Mysuru India. As an integral part of our leadership team you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth daily operations maintaining high-quality customer service and driving business growth.

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant and bar operations
  • Lead motivate and mentor a team of servers bartenders and kitchen staff
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and address guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • Manage inventory place orders and control costs to maximize profitability
  • Create and adjust staff schedules to meet business demands efficiently
  • Implement and maintain food safety and hygiene standards
  • Assist in developing and executing marketing strategies to increase revenue
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance preparing reports for upper management
  • Collaborate with the chef to create and update menus incorporating local cuisine and trends
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health safety and alcohol service regulations
  • Participate in hiring training and performance evaluations of staff members
  • Handle cash management and daily financial reconciliations

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience of 2-3 years in restaurant or bar management preferably in a high-volume establishment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems
  • Solid understanding of food and beverage operations including cost control and inventory management
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and profit maximization
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
  • Familiarity with local cuisine cultural preferences and food trends in Mysuru
  • Knowledge of health safety and alcohol service regulations in the food service industry
  • Food Safety Certification required; Alcohol Service Certification preferred
  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
  • Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed
  • Fluency in English and knowledge of local languages (Kannada preferred)
